Most of us tend to shy away from people who are seemingly different or struggling. Also we all have heard the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Here’s a man begging for some food as he’s starving. Many turn away and go on with our complicated lives. This young woman responded as a warm, caring human being might. While the video ends with her being rewarded for her kindness and decency, the true reward might just be helping someone out. We or one of our loved ones might eventually have their own struggles, and wouldn’t you want to know there was someone out there to help them. It can even be just a few moments of listening and talking with someone or just a dollar or two. I implore you to try to do a kind deed once a week.
