Just imagine not being able to hug your partner, child, grandchild or loved ones as you struggle with the effects of your stroke or specific disability. Yet, here’s the joy that comes when and if, you are able to hug them once again. I am reminded of Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, who has been struggling with his own stroke and the limitations it has caused him, leading to become depressed and hospitalized to treat his depression. He continues to fight hard to fulfill his roles as a husband, father, and as a U.S. Senator. We all need role models and he’s one of mine.
